How does the electronic mandate solution work?

The electronic debit order mandate solution allows your customers to sign and authorise their debit order mandates from anywhere and on any device.

This solution was developed in line with the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act 25 of 2002 and complies with PASA (Payments Association of South Africa) as well as sponsoring bank requirements around the signing and storage of electronic debit order authorisations.

Direct Debit provides a ready made electronic mandate framework that removes challenges associated with manually signing debit order mandates. Saving you on costs and lengthy waiting periods associated with the signing of paper-based debit order mandates.

Digital mandate authorisations are also stored in a tamper proof vault (in the cloud), keeping you protected from future customer disputes.
